Esbenshade’s Landscaping is excited to have award-winning landscape designer Kim K. Bair as a member of our staff. Kim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture from Temple University and has been designing for 19 years.
Initial Consultation
Your landscape design process begins with a consultation with our designer on your site. We will spend time talking with you about your ideas and vision for what you want to accomplish. We will go over your likes and dislikes with certain plants, colors and textures. We will ask questions to gain insight in assisting us with transferring the picture in your mind’s eye onto paper. We may make suggestions if we see something that might not work well or if we see the potential for something you may not have thought of. This initial consultation is free. From there, we have a design fee of $75.00 per hour, which will run through the completion of the final plan. During the initial consultation, our designer will be able to give you an estimated time and cost for the design process. We also have a Design – Build Rebate if you chose to have Esbenshade’s Landscaping install your design.
Site Survey
We will measure the areas of your property that are to be included in the design in order to create a scaled drawing. Photos may also be taken to help with the design and to create three-dimensional perspective drawings if needed.
Preliminary Plan
Once the design is completed, we will schedule a second appointment to review the plan. At this time, your designer will present the plan, going over types, sizes and locations of both plant material and hardscapes. Pictures of previously completed projects, three-dimensional perspective drawings and samples are also often used to help paint the picture of your design. It is important to us that you receive a design that not only meets your needs, but captures your dreams. Therefore, after the plan is presented, we will make any necessary revisions to create a plan that you are completely satisfied with.
Final Plan and Estimate
Once the final plan is completed, an estimate will be created from it. This estimate will include all materials, labor, and supervision needed to construct your landscape as designed.
Esbenshade’s Design – Build Rebate
If you choose to have Esbenshade’s Landscaping install your design, you can take advantage of our Design – Build Rebate. We will refund up to 50% of your design fee if we do the installation. The work must be completed within 12 months of the original design to be eligible. The rebate is pro-rated, based on the percentage of work installed in relation to the total design and estimate. This Design – Build Rebate will be included in your final invoicing.
