The perfect pumpkin for carving for Halloween fun or for filling Thanksgiving pies. Bright orange, smooth skinned pumpkins average 10 lbs. and stand about 12 inches high with strong stems for handling.
Pumpkins prefer a warm, sunny spot with sandy, fertile soil. Sow outdoors 2 weeks after the last spring frost when the soil is thoroughly warm. Sow seed 1 inch deep. space plants 2 feet apart in rows spaced 6 feet apart. Keep plants evenly moist all season for best production.
As pumpkins grow, carefully stand them upright to develop a flat botton. Thety will be easier to carve and display. Harvest in 100 days.
