The Boston Fern is a classic house plant for both planters and hanging baskets. They can take temperatures into the low 40's if slowly acclimated, making them excellent indoor/outdoor plants. They are perfectly happy spending the spring and summer brightening up a shady porch, and helping to add some greenery to interior spaces in the fall/winter - or they can hangout inside all year round, as long as they have a good source of bright indirect light, and are kept moist. Be careful placing them near indoor air vents, as they may dry out too fast.
- Prefers bright, indirect light
- Keep them in surroundings between 65 and 75°F
- They love moisture, and being consistently damp. Don't over water them!
- Check roots once a year
