Description: Fulfillment Associates perform and assist the Fulfillment Manager with all daily operations of the E-Commerce shipping department. Duties include (but not limited to) compiling orders, creating batches for warehouse employees to pick, printing shipping labels, preparing items & boxing them for shipment. Fulfillment Associates are expected to make sound shipping decisions that ensure timely receipt of packages by our customers in the most cost-effective manner. Must be able to consistently lift objects averaging 30 lbs (and occasionally as much as 50 lbs). The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of warehouse, shipping, or packing experience, plus experience operating a forklift, pallet-jack, and other electronic equipment. The ideal candidate should be familiar with or be able to quickly learn how to use shipping software, programs, and equipment. Fluent English is required for this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure good communication with co-workers and management.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and hardworking.
  • Able to navigate basic computer programs to compile orders and print pick sheets for warehouse employees to complete.
  • Willing to learn techniques to evaluate best shipping methods and make sound decisions with the company and customers best interest in mind.
  • Able to print shipping labels, evaluate packing standards, confirm orders are filled properly and be the final check for outgoing packages.
  • Able to evaluate and determine the most efficient packing technique to ensure orders will ship without damage.
  • Capable of executing proper packing techniques so packages will ship quickly, cost effectively and safely to their destination.
  • Willing to keep shipping areas clean by sweeping up, throwing away trash and organizing at the end of each shift.
  • Able to keep packing stations stocked with necessary items to efficiently perform packing tasks throughout the day.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work at a fast pace, consistently producing high quality work and results.
  • Must be adaptable to changing priorities and varied responsibilities.
  • It is mandatory that all employees obey safety rules and exercise caution in all their activities.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Observe all company policies.

Education & Experience:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Forklift Certification strongly preferred.
  • Previous Warehouse experience preferred.

Time Requirements:

  • This is a Year-round, Full-time position with varied time requirements depending on the season.
  • First shift schedule.
  • Mandatory overtime (averaging 50-55 hours a week) during our busiest seasons: November - December 23 and March - mid-June.
  • Rotating Saturdays are required. Fulfillment Associates work two Saturdays and have every third Saturday off.
  • We're closed Sundays, but during busy seasons (March - June & November - December) work may be needed 1 or 2 Sundays per year.
  • Some holiday work is required (Memorial Day & Labor Day).
  • Employee holidays are Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Years Day, 4th of July, and their birthday (birthdays that fall during blackout periods will be awarded on a mutually agreed upon day outside of blackout period)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Must be able to work on your feet for long periods (8-10 hours). 
  • Able to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.
