Safe Thaw is a patented dual-effect compound, made up of a crystal core integrated with a liquid component. This composition gives it a two-way timed-release action. The liquid component, glycol admixture crystal, leaches out a de-icing liquid to speed up the melting process even in sub-zero temperatures. Once the ice and snow are melted, it leaves an invisible protective shield that prevents ice from sticking to the surface for up to three days. Safe Thaw is safe to use around plants, dogs, pets, and children; Ice melt will not damage concrete and is environmentally safe for land and waterways.
