How to Use Bumper Crop® in Your Garden
Vegetable Gardens:
Spread 2–3 inches over the planting area and work it into the soil about 6 inches deep. Water before and after planting to ensure moisture is absorbed.
Flower & Rose Gardens:
Use the same method—2–3 inches of Bumper Crop® worked into the soil. Your blooms will thank you!
Potted, Burlapped, or Bare-Root Plants:
- Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, tapering the sides like an upside-down cone
- Mix half Bumper Crop® with half garden soil and backfill around the plant
- Position the plant so the original soil line sits about 2 inches above the surrounding soil
New Lawns:
- Spread 2–3 inches of Bumper Crop® over the site and work it into the soil 6 inches deep
- Sow grass seed, cover lightly with 1/8 inch of Bumper Crop®, rake, and water thoroughly
- Keep soil moist until seeds germinate
Existing Lawns:
- Spike the lawn for aeration, then spread ½ inch of Bumper Crop®
- Work into the grass with a flexible rake, broadcast grass seed, and water gently
Mulching Roses & Vegetables:
- Spread 1–3 inches around plants to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and protect roots from temperature swings
