PERFECT: Rich, Dark, No Dust, No Gnats!

Posted by Discerning Eye on May 26th 2016

This is the nicest potting soil I've ever purchased. It is super rich and dark (also has perlite in it which another brand I have purchased in the past does not.) There are NO horrid gnats and NO having to wear a mask when working with it because there is NO "dust." I LOVE IT. I will be purchasing this brand exclusively in the future. Other brands - especially the kind you find at the big box stores - cannot even come close the quality of this Espoma soil mix. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for!

    Perfect for my needs

Posted by RI reviewer on Apr 27th 2016

I have re-potted several house plants and they are thriving. The mixture is not too dense and easy to use. I hope to also start some vegetable seeds indoors very soon, and as I am generally an organic gardener, I appreciated getting high quality organic potting mixture.

    Plants Thrive!!!

Posted by Edward Richtofen on Apr 25th 2016

First off, let me say this is the only commercial soil I've ever used and I use this soil for growing plants inside pots. If you're new to gardening, I recommend using this, because it has plenty of perlite, a nice earthy smell, and best of all NO BUGS!!! I'm not sure what the NPK ratio is, but i can say if given plenty of light, my plants thrive (especially fruit and veggie plants). The only bad experience I had with this soil is during the summer, when i place my pots outside in full sunlight, the soil would dry out within 2 days. I'm guessing this is the fault of summer temperature and not the soil.

Good soil for my dumb cane.

Since I re-potted my dumb cane in a new 5 gallon pot with espoma soil it sprouts its leaves much faster. They are abut 20%-25% larger too.
