Same soil I've bought for my succulents before

Posted by Nicole C. on Mar 3rd 2019

I bought this at a normal hardware store before and it worked very well for my succulents. This time, I bought it for a fiddle leaf fig tree, as shown in the picture. I learned they need high drainage, peaty soil. I found nothing wrong with this soil and it's working well so far. I like how big this bag is. I still have about 1/3 of the bag left after filling up my new plant.Edit: I added an updated photo of that same fiddle leaf fig a few years later! My jade plant next to it also uses the same soil.

I added more organic perlite but I am a novice so I was being extra cautious. So far, this has been working very well with my succulents and cactus.HIghly recommend.

Best acidic soil and drains well

Best acidic soil thus far. I use this on my lemon trees, cactus, and any other acidic loving plants.

    Best succulent soil I've used

Posted by Sky Lark on Oct 7th 2018

I have a succulent/cactus garden and this soil is a perfect mix. I purchased some medium sized pumice stones as well that I added to the soil. This soil mix is just the right weight to assure proper drainage and very easy to use. The resealable bag - isn't really. Can't expect a seal to zip closed with dirt in it. I am ordering another bag - great stuff and my plants started to root within days. They're happy and I'm happy!

    Good soil

This organic soil has worked well for me. I had an infestation of fungus gnats so I had to replace all of my soil for my tropicals and succulents. I used this soil in a mixture of my own and added extra perlite. My plants are very happy ! The soil was changed out a month ago.

Perfect for Jade and succulents alike

Posted by The Tants on Jun 23rd 2018

Great quality, draining, succulent soil. I bought this soil in order to transplant and then propagate my Jade plant, and eventually give some off to family and friends. Jade plants, as well as most succulents, need well draining soil and too much water accumulating in the soil by the roots will cause the roots to rot and the plants to die. Not only is this a good bag of soil for succulents and cacti alike, but it is a great value for the price compared to the other ones Ive researched.

Did a major reporting on my cactus and succulents with this. The plants have been doing extremely well in this mix. Would definitely recommend using it.

    Buy this! Its worth it!

After making it through the entire first bag, I reordered this soil. Other cactus soil tends to have a lot of bark in it which has been starving my plants. This soil has no bark. Im no expert but I would assume the bark helps with drainage but since all my plants are potted and small, other soil with bark cant give my plants enough nutrients. Cacti and succulents store food in their their leaves which is why theyre so sturdy and can survive in harsh environments, so a very nutritious soil is super important. Ive used this soil to grow 3 lemon trees, 1 grapefruit tree, and an avocado tree from the seed/pit. I even found some succulents that looked dead and with this soil and lots of water and love they are happy and healthy again with plenty of new buds. Ive had more seeds sprout than not in this soil so Im not using anything else. The first time I ordered and reviewed this soil I was bummed the bag came slit open but Im guessing that was from some postal or shipping check. The second time the bag was intact but keep that in mind, you may need a back up storage container.
