Description
Early Snowball Cauliflower
Creamy white heads with superb mild flavor. Early Snowball is an early variety that produces tightly packed heads just right for light steaming, roasting, or pickling. Very cold tolerant. Packet is 0.75g.
Planting
Sow in rich, moist soil in early spring. Time your plantings to mature while weather is cool, usually late spring or early fall. Start indoors two to four weeks before last spring frost date. Transplant outdoors two weeks before last frost. Water consistently, and feed monthly with compost tea of vegetable fertilizer to maintain vigorous growth.
Harvest
Cauliflower performs best in consistently cool temperatures, between 62-67℉. When the white head is about 3" in diameter, tie the outer leaves together to cover the head and maintain its white color.
