Description
Hungarian Wax Pepper
Tapered, pale yellow pods have a mellow heat. Very early to mature even in cool weather. Use for roasting, stuffing, and pickling. Scoville Heat Units: 5,000-10,000.
Planting
Unless you live in a year-round warm climate, start seeds indoors eight to ten weeks before last spring frost. Keep soil temperature warm (75-80℉) for best germination. Be patient. Peppers can be slow to germinate. Harden off young plants 10 days before transplanting and plant outdoors in late spring after soil temperature has warmed.
Harvest
Peppers are ripe when they have turned completely yellow.
