- Durable polyresin has a U.V. coating that resists cracking or chipping from the sun

One of the things that makes Michael Carr Pottery special is that it is hand made by skilled craftsmen. Each piece is individually glazed, giving it unique color and runs. Fired in an old-world kiln also contributes to the one-of-a-kind finish. This large owl is intricately detailed and hand painted. Each feather has to be individually painted at least 3 times. There is the brown base, followed by hand brushing a black feather and followed again by the white highlights on each feather.
