Hybrid Beet Red Ace
You can't beat the sweet, juicy, tenderness of Red Ace. This delicious variety is easy-to-grow and drought tolerant, with high natural sugar content and erect disease resistant green tops for delicious greens. Serves fresh in all stages of growth or store for winter enjoyment. Ideal for table, canning, freezing, pickling, and salads.
When and where to plant
Select a sunny location with loose, rich soil, and plant in early spring as soon as soil can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with organic matter. Make successive plantings at 3 weeks intervals. Firm soil over seed and keep moist.
Care
Keep soil moist, weed free add apply vegetable food every 4-6 weeks.
Harvesting
Thin beets when less than 1" in diameter and cook thinnings, top and all, "they're delicious." For most tender beets, harvest when 1-4" in diameter.
