Tendergreen Burpless Cucumber
Tasty and refeshing cucumbers have become on of the worlds most popular vegetable. They are easy to grow, and produce and abundance of tender fruit throughout the summer. The elongated fruits of slicing types are perfect for salads and other fresh uses. Small young fruits may be used for pickling.
When and where to plant
Select a sunny, well drained location and sow seed in the late spring when the soil is warm and all danger of frost is past. For earlier crop start indoors 4-6 weeks before setting out. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with a rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist.
Care
Keep soil moist, and feed monthly. Tie vines on trellis to save space.
Harvesting
Pick at any size up to 6-8" and before fruit color beings to turn yellow. Pick regularly so fruit will continue to form.
