Northeastern Wildflower Mix

Have you ever driven through the countryside, seen a seen a field of wildflowers and wished that you could have the same wild, natural beauty in your yard? Well, you can. You don't need a lot of garden space; even a small corner is sufficient. This beautiful mixture contains carefully selected native wildflower that are hardy and adaptable. Once Established, they will survive even when neglected by busy gardeners.

When and where to plant

Select sunny location and plant in well drained soil during early spring or fall (recommended in mild climates). For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Mix seeds with a cup of sand or other inert material and broadcast each gram of seed over 20-30 sq ft, which is equivalent to 1 oz/ 500sq ft.  Lightly rake seed into soil or cover with peat moss or similar light mulch. Keep soil moist until plants begin to grow.

Care

Requires little care. Water only when necessary. For additional plants, divide perennial clumps in spring or fall after 2 or 3 years of flowering.
