Rosemary
The aromatic leaves of this outstanding shrubby evergreen perennial may be used fresh or dried to provide a delightful seasoning to chicken, stew, and all meats. In mild winter areas, makes excellent hedge. Elsewherre, it is best grown in moveable containers or as an annual. Grows 2-3' tall.
When and where to plant
Select sunny sheltered location with well-drained soil and sow seeds as soon as soil can be worked. Cultivate soil and enrich with vegetable food. For earlier harvest, start seeds indoors. Firm soil over seeds.

Harvesting
Flavor is best before plant blooms. Pick leaves and sprigs as needed and use fresh, or dry. Leaves may be frozen.
