Description
Tema (Cold Tolerant)
One packet of these seeds plant about a 20 ft. row, and the plant takes about 53 days to mature. They grow into 6 inch round pods, and are not only good for you, but they also taste good and are easy to grow. You can grow bush beans, which are small, self-supporting plants that bear quickly; or pole snap beans, which are tall, vigorous, productive vines. Beans are delicious when eaten fresh, frozen, or canned.
When and where to plant
Select a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed and keep moist. Plant bush types every 3 weeks.
Care
Support pole beans with stout poles, trellis, string, or wire. Water by soaking soil, to reduce danger of disease.
Harvesting
Pick regularly when pods are 4-6”/10-15cm, or before sides bulge.
