White Scallop Squash
An outstanding prolific summer vegetable, that is easy to grow. The fruits are delicious when picked while young and immature. Eat fresh fried, steamed or baked; and freeze excess for various breads, cakes, casseroles, souffles, pancakes and custard recipes.
When and where to plant
Select sunny location and plant in late spring when soil is warm and danger of frost is past. Cultivate and enrich soil with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed.
Care
Water heavily and frequently. Feed every 3-4 weeks.
Harvesting
To ensure steady supply, pick continuously when fruits are young, tender and easily punctured.
