Buttercrunch Lettuce
This home garden favorite butterhead type lettuce is crisp and delicious, with rich green leaves and a creamy center. Buttercrunch is heat tolerant and bolt resistant.
Planting
Lettuce prefers cool weather. Select a location with full sun, or part shade in hot areas. Sow in early spring, or fall/winter in mild climates. Keep soil evenly moist for best growth. Thin regularly. Lettuce does not like to be crowded.
Harvest
Snip young leaves as needed. Allow the strongest plants to form tight heads and harvest by cutting close to the ground.
