Description
Vegetable Spaghetti Squash
A popular squash with thick, yellow flesh that can be scooped out after cooking to produce spaghetti-like strands. Oblong fruits have smooth tan-to-orange rinds. Will store for three to six months.
Planting
Plant outdoors in full sun and rich soil two weeks after last spring frost. Germinates poorly in soil temperatures below 70℉. Water consistently and feed monthly with a side dressing of compost or vegetable fertilizer.
Harvest
For best harvest, allow fruits to ripen until vines begin to die back. Immature fruits do not store well.
