Position Title: Fulfillment Associate (Regular Permanent Fulltime)

First shift schedule, Seasonal mandatory overtime averaging 50-55 hours (November through December 23rd, and March through mid-June), and required Rotating Saturdays (Two Saturdays on, One Saturday off rotation), Closed Sundays.

Fulfillment Associates will perform and assist the Fulfillment Manager with all daily operations of the E-Commerce shipping department, including, but not limited to compiling orders, creating batches for warehouse employees to pick, printing shipping labels and preparing items and boxing them for shipment. They will be expected to make sound shipping decisions that will ensure timely receipt of our packages by our customers in a most cost-effective manner. Must be able to consistently lift objects averaging 30 lbs. and occasionally to 50 lbs.) The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of warehouse, shipping, or packing experience, and have experience operating a forklift. pallet-jack, and other electronic equipment. The ideal candidate should be familiar with or be able to quickly learn how to use shipping software, programs, and equipment. Fluent English is required for this position.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure good communication with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and hardworking.
  • Ability to navigate basic computer programs to compile orders and print pick sheets for warehouse employees to complete.
  • Willingness to learn techniques to evaluate best shipping methods and make sound decisions with the companies and customers best interest in mind.
  • Ability to print shipping labels, evaluate packing standards, confirm orders are filled properly and be the final check for outgoing packages.
  • Ability to evaluate and determine the most efficient packing technique to ensure orders will ship without damage.
  • Capability to execute proper packing techniques so that packages will ship quickly, cost effectively and safely to its destination.
  • Willingness to keep shipping areas clean by sweeping up, throwing away trash and organizing at the end of each shift.
  • Ability to keep packing stations stocked with necessary items to efficiently perform packing tasks throughout the day.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work at a fast pace, consistently producing high quality work and results.
  • Must be adaptable to changing priorities and varied responsibilities.
  • It is mandatory that all employees obey safety rules and to exercise caution in all their activities.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Observe all company policies.

Education & Experience:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows and Office programs.
  • Forklift Certification preferred.
  • Previous Warehouse experience preferred, will consider minimal experience for seasonal roles.

Time Requirements:

  • Full-time position with varied overtime requirement depending on the season
  • Rotating Saturdays are required to work. Fulfillment Associates work two Saturdays on and have every third Saturday off.
  • 1 or 2 Sundays per year may be needed, depending on Seasonal business needs.
  • Some holiday work is required (i.e. Memorial Day and Labor Day). Employees holidays are Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, New Years Day, 4th of July, and their birthday (birthdays that fall during blackout periods will be awarded on a mutually agreed upon day outside of blackout period)).

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (Up to 50 pounds).
  • Must be able to work on your feet for long periods (8 to 10 hours).
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons.

Schedule:

Mondays are our longest day, 6 am to 5 or 6 pm during busy season. Regular schedules during off season normally run from 7 am to 4 pm. More details provided at interview.
