DESCRIPTION:
The Warehouse Generalist will work together with other team members or individually pick or pack products for customer orders and create shipping labels for the packages. They will ensure that the products being sent meet quality standards such as cleanliness and product presentation to prevent defective items from being shipped out. Additionally, they will pack items in a way to avoid damages while in transit to the customer. Will also be responsible for keeping the warehouse area clean, neat, organized and well stocked. The Warehouse Generalist may be required to take on additional responsibility.

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

●      Ensure good communication with co-workers and management.
●      Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and management.
●      Must be organized, detail oriented and hardworking.
●      Basic computer skills to complete batches and print labels for orders being packed.
●      Ability to determine the most efficient process/technique to ensure all orders will be shipped accurately without being damaged.
●      Ability to execute proper packing techniques so that packages will ship quickly, cost effectively and safely to the destination.
●      Willingness to keep the entire warehouse areas clean by sweeping up, throwing away trash and organizing at the end of each shift.
●      Palletizing packages in an efficient manner so as not to cause damage to product/packaging and can be loaded correctly into trailers for carrier pickups.
●      Ability to keep packing stations stocked with necessary items to efficiently perform packing tasks throughout the day.
●      Must have the ability and willingness to work at a fast pace, consistently producing high quality work and results.
●      Must be adaptable to changing priorities and varied responsibilities.
●      Must check the quality of product while picking and packing.
●      Responsible for the safe use of all equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and scrubber.
●      Willingness to perform duties as assigned by the Team Leader, or Management personal.
●      It is mandatory that all employees obey safety rules and to exercise caution in all their activities.

TIME REQUIREMENTS:

● This is a year round, full time, part time or seasonal position with varied hour requirements depending on the season.
● Saturday work is necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to consistently lift 20-30lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50-70lbs
Must be able to work on your feet for long periods. (8 to 10 hours).
Must be able to work in the following environments; dust, heat, coolness.
