Description
Annual Cut Flower Mixture
This easy to grow mixture is a carefully selected combination of beautiful, hardy annuals. Plants will provide an interesting array of sparkling colors and attractive mix of flower forms throughout the growing season. Ideal for borders, mass plantings, wild spots, and as a source of cut flowers.
When and where to plant
Select a sunny location and plant outdoors in well drained soil after all danger of frost is past. For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Firm soil over seeds and keep moist. For earlier blossoms, sow indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost.
Care
Water when necessary and feed every 4-6 weeks. Remove old flowers to stimulate new blossoms.
Cutting Hints
Water plants before cutting. Cut in morning or evening when temperatures are coolest. Select flowers with buds 1/2 to 3/4 open. Cut with sharp knife and place in pail of lukewarm water immediately after cutting. Arrange in clean container and add fresh water as needed.
