Danvers Half Long Carrot
An exceedingly popular table vegetable that is unmatched for vitamin content and sweet flavor. It is adaptable, tolerant of mismanagement and unequaled for supplying food for a long period of time.
When and where to plant
Select sunny location with light porous soil. Cultivate deeply and plant in early spring as soon as soil can be worked, repeating every 2-3 weeks until mid-summer. Fall planting recommended in mild winter areas. Sow seed sparingly, firming soil over row.
Care
Keep soil moist, weed free, and apply vegetable food every 4 weeks.
Harvesting
Delicious when young. Begin pulling when finger size.
