Best hummingbird feeder on the market.

Posted by Susan Zornek-Stevens on May 19th 2016

These are the best hummingbird feeders I have ever used and I have used quite a few over the past 40 years of feeding hummingbirds. The hummingbirds seem to like them too, I have to refill mine daily and sometimes twice daily. The design of the HummZinger makes the easiest to clean and fill with an added perk of having the recipe to make hummingbird food right on the lid to avoid an incorrect mixture. Bought a pair about five years ago are they are still in great shape, no signs of cracks or breaks.I liked mine so well I bought these as a housewarming gift for my son and his fiance.

    Great feeder!

Posted by Easy L on Mar 20th 2016

The hummers love this feeder. There is plenty of room for a good amount of nectar, and best of all, the red color doesn't fade right away! I'm out in Arizona and this feeder has the sun beating down on it for more than half of the day and the red color is still nice and deep. Oh, here's a quick tip, if the nectar in your feeder leans a bit to one side just gently bend the hanging rod until the nectar evens outs. My feeder was a bit crooked but I was able to fix it fairly fast, and now it hangs perfectly.

    Great feeder

Posted by James Kight on Jan 26th 2016

I switched to this style from another that had started to show some rust. After hanging in the same spot for just 2 days the hummers are already starting to feed. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.01/10/18Reviw Update: I wanted to post an update for the Humzinger 16oz feeder. I have this hanging about 12 feet off the ground, twice I've dropped this from at least 10 get in the air, not a single crack, and it's landed both times on a concrete sidewalk. I finally found on the a small button on the bottom that fits perfectly into a 1 inch piece of pvc.6/21/18This feeder has now been dropped 4 times total, and no cracks. The pvc pole works, but sometimes my balance isn't great.4/17/19It's taken another fall and still no cracks, what a feeder. I'll have to buy another, just to keep them from fighting

Birds love it and no more bees!

Posted by ElenaHS on Nov 27th 2015

The bees were taking over our feeder and the hummers were not able to get past the hordes. Nothing I tried off the net worked (almond extract, peppermint oil around the feeder, spraying water)This feeder totally solved the problem. It is easy to use, easy to clean, does not drip, has an ant moat and I can even see the little bird tongues reaching into the nectar to feed, where the bees can't reach. Problem solved! The feeder arrived via Prime very fast, I fact, overnight. It was well packed and easy to assemble.I wonder if the folks who have hummers who don't like this feeder are dealing with one species. Our hummers love this, though I don't happen to know what species we have here in Yuma, AZ. If bees are your problem, give this one a try.

    Fixes Most Common Feeder Issues

Posted by Joshua Villines on Sep 3rd 2015

This feeder fixed every issue we had with our older, more simple, lightbulb-style feeder. The ant moat keeps out the ants. The form factor keeps the squirrels from drinking from it (previously our squirrels would do keg stands with the feeder). And, best of all, it's super-easy to clean. We've never seen more than two hummingbirds at it at once because, unlike the ones in the (Photoshopped?) photo, our hummingbirds are very territorial. Nevertheless, the hummyfolk love this feeder - just individually.

    The Best Feeder!

Posted by TinaL on Jan 11th 2014

I love this feeder. The red top allows me to make my own nectar with water, sugar and no red coloring. The hummingbirds came the first day we put it out. I love the little perch as they come, sit and spend time at the feeder for better viewing. They have become accustomed to us going in and out of the slider and will come when we are only 3-4 feet away, sitting on the patio. It is very easy to clean and I did get a little brush to clean the holes. The separate center hole is great for keeping ants out of the feeder once filled with tap water. Ants that manage to get down the feeder drown in the water. The hanging hook is sturdy, just screws into the base and the red top snaps on top. A snap to set up and clean.

    NICE

Posted by Walter C. Snyder on Jun 25th 2013

I like the design of this feeder...very easy to clean and well constructed. At first I thought the base was too deep for a Hummingbird to reach the very bottom. After a week or so, the little hogs proved me wrong...they must have long tongues...because they can empty the feeder. I still am using the red acrylic diamonds that I purchased at a hobby shop to place in the bottom of the feeder. This reduces the amount of fluid required to fill the feeder to about 10 oz and puts the fluid closer to the top. It is worth noting that I also purchased a First Nature 3091 Feeder for 1/3 the price...the Hummingbirds actually prefer this feeder over the Aspects Hummzinger.

Very good feeder, "trick" to opening it

Posted by Customer on Jun 8th 2013

The feeder is nicely made. The threads of the hanger and bottom portion fit snugly together and feel sturdy. The plastic is nice and thick except for the outer perch ring which is thin - why I downgraded from 5 stars. The "trick" to opening it is: place your thumbs in the inner clear plastic "ant moat" and your fingers on the edge of the red plastic top (NOT the perch ring or you can break it). Push with your thumbs and the bottom portion will disengage. I take mine down every 2 days, disassemble and pour boiling water over to clean it. Then use the rest of the boiling water to make food: 1 cup boiling water, add 1/4 cup white sugar, stir and let cool.

Hummingbirds & ORIOLES both love it!!!

Posted by SoCal Folks on Apr 10th 2013

The Orioles that come to our feeders preferred this to a very very similar (only orange color) product. So I got another of this one- I have two of these feeders and hummingbirds & orioles both feed on the same feeders. Makes it easier. This is very easy to clean unlike most other types!
