This concept of growing really works!

Posted by Mary Shively on May 31st 2019

We've had the larger sized Earthboxes and now are trying this deeper one for root crops. We ended up planting a tomato plant in each one, as I forgot to start seedling for the carrots. This system works very well and after the initial set up, is pretty much self sustaining. The only thing I have to do is remember to water....pretty simple. It's well worth the money.

So easy and our tomato plants are huge. Such a great concept. Easy porch/deck planting idea. Love it

A lot larger than I thought it would be, but it will still fit. I have been using earthbox products since 2008, and I still use the 2 original earthbox planters I purchased in 2008. One is sitting exposed to the elements, the other is on a porch.

Posted by Novafam on Jul 14th 2016

The cover is not the right size for a square one, it belongs to something rectangular and now we have invested all the time and money into growing seedlings and purchasing the organic soil separately and planting everything to get to the last step and have the cover not fit. I would return if it had not been 30 days to get to seedlings from seeds.

It is perfect for one tomato plant or two eggplants

Posted by Michelle Wilson on Jul 7th 2016

This is a smaller version of the regular earthbox. It is perfect for one tomato plant or two eggplants. My vegetables planted in these boxes are ahead of the ones that were planted directly in the ground.
