Must try this if you never have, "grow your own" veggies. Have a hose nearby.
My third box. I keep them in my deck, away from hungry critters.

Delivers a great veggie harvest year after year
Terrific product. I've owned it now for over 5 years. In Southern California weather, everything plastic degrades, but this has held up.What I Like:- For 5 years I have grown beans, tomatoes and peas with great success.- Holds up to hot Southern California sun- SturdyWhat I didn't like:- The wheels do tend to lock up.- You must buy the replant kit every year for successSummary:This is a bit pricey but it really works. I think the secret is using good (bagged) soil and also their fertilizer as I have made my own homemade version out of Rubbermaid bins without the same success.

A breeze to set-up
First time using an EARTHBOX. Amazingly easy to set up - took just a few minutes. Some reviews mentioned castor-wheels falling off. It is not enough to just place the spokes of the castor-wheels into the holes. You have to turn the box upside-down and push the castors in firmly till they click into place - I have been lifting the boxes and moving them around and the castor-wheels have not fallen off.In my hot and humid tropical isle, mosquitoes are a BIG issue. To prevent them breeding in the reservoir, I cut a piece of carbon filter from leftovers after replacing the filter in my cookerhood, and place it over the drainage hole ON THE INSIDE of the Earthbox, before putting in the screen. I flipped the box over and checked - the filter fits snugly over the hole. After filling the box with potting mix, and planting the seedlings, I filled the reservoir and checked that the water overflow was not impeded by the carbon filter. I also fashioned a cover for the watering tube to prevent the mosquitoes going into the reservoir that way.Now I wait to see if my corn will grow - will update later.UPDATE: Soaked corn kernels for about one day, and sow them directly into prepared EARTHBOX, put on the mulch cover as directed - 13 of the 16 seeds germinated in less than two days! wow! Now, after less than 4 days, the seedlings are already about 10 inches tall, and look really strong and healthy. The EARTHBOX reservoir is keeping the potting mix nice and moist. I am so happy with this that I have already ordered three more EARTBOXes, and planning what plants to grow in them! ^^
