They are the best Christmas lights I've ever had love them and will continue to buy them

It is cool being able to have your tree look different everyday. I wish they had set colors to choose from in addition to the spectrum system. I had an issue over Christmas with my new iPhone and transitioning the app so I used the manufacturer's website tech help chat (the lights are from Italy) they were very helpful with resolving the problem. I liked them so much I bought 2 more sets.

I can't comment on the patterns available from the controller, but using the iPhone App the downloaded patterns are amazing. The lights are bright, but the brightness is adjustable if they are too much. I bought these to go on a 7.5' National Tree Company Newberry Spruce. I figured the actual area to be covered would be about 6' of height. Using the standard spiral method of laying on lights, and formulas I found on the Internet, I calculated that I should be able to get complete coverage by spacing the wire 3 - 4" apart. It worked out perfectly. You are actually working with two 300 light strings that are connected at a central point near the controller. This makes it a little tricky to put the lights on a tree, but probably better than working with a bundle of all the lights at once.After putting the lights on, use the App mapping function to identify or calculate where each light is, and then let the light show begin! Note that some of patterns seem better suited for a flat surface than a tree, but there are plenty of others to play with. Some are fixed, but with others you can choose different colors to use (or even select your own), and can adjust brightness, speed, angles, etc. It is really fun!

We've struggled with lighting for our 8 ft. tall artificial tree for several years now. We've had this tree forover twenty years and it is still very beautiful and has often been mistaken for a real tree. Our lights, through the years, particularly with the changes in lighting generally, left our tree either too bright or too dull and so this year, we indulged in this large set of Twinkly. We could not be happier! These lights are amazing. They can be as bright or as dim as you prefer, you can use pre-programmed patterns or create your own. It can be like a new tree every day if you want! The set up wasn't difficult (according to my husband,) and being able to control them with our cell phones was an extra bonus. They are a little expensive compared to ordinary lights, but so worth it if you want a seriously spectacular Christmas tree. Highly recommend!!

Couldn't be happier, super easy setup.

This light set is worth every penny. I was confused on how to initially set it up as the light is actually 2 strands that wind from the central plug. Turns out you can wind both up around the tree staggered and it works fine. The mapping went without a hitch and my kids played with different lighting effects. My older son made a 'rain' tree: yellow 'sun' on top, blue 'clouds' lower, falling 'rain' and blue 'puddles' on the bottom. You can literally be that creative!

I was a little hesitant to buy these lights based on the mixed reviews. I wanted smart Christmas Tree lights that could be controlled via an iPhone app. These lights have surpassed my expectations. I purchased the 250 light set for a 6.5ft tall tree, which is a perfect amount of lights for the tree size.I didn't have any issues mapping the lights. To map the lights, you simply hang the lights on your tree, and then point your phone camera at your tree while the lights flash. This allows the app to map every light position on your tree to the app, so all the preset and custom lighting functions work and look as expected. I was really impressed with how well this worked.Overall these lights are great for the price and I'm very happy with my purchase!

I have 3 sets of these types if lights. They are amazing! Work great! 5 stars!

All together I really would like to give these a 4.5 because of the fact that it took much of the techie in me to make this work correctly. This lets me know others may run into issues. I purchased two sets and ran them up and down my 8' tree in tight loops. I then paired them and created a group. Found you cannot map as a group but have to map each set individually before you create the group. Also you want to do the mapping in a broad area so you can have a good distant shot from all angles to get accurate mapping. The mapping crashed and/or glitched several times on my galaxy s10e. Also had to do several mappings to get a correct and accurate mapping. Being a techie since solid state came into being and hyper fluent in electronics' spoken and unspoken languages I was able to get it to behave as I thought it should. And once done it is very impressive and I absolutely love them. There are videos out there to help with setting these up but nothing directly points you to them. If they refined that portion just a tad and the cost wasn't quite so high then I would say everyone should have these for the holidays.
