    Where's the Castors?

Posted by Jessi on Sep 30th 2020

I had previously used Earthboxes for several years and loved them - no weeding, just watering and harvesting rather bountiful crops from them with a lot less work than a traditional garden. But the two Earthboxes I ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived with no castors! Tried to leave seller feedback, but wasn't an option so I started a return with a comment that I didn't really want to return them, just wanted my castors. No response, so I've cancelled the return and ordered some desk chair castors that look to be about the same. Not ok that the castors are missing - price should be discounted to reflect that!

    Easy way to garden

Posted by Marian Canepa on Sep 24th 2020

I have some earth boxes that are 5 years old and still look great. They work well in Florida. We have sandy soils, bugs, and strong heat. Right now my lettuce and basil is growing thicker in the earth box than in the ground. They save on water and make gardening very easy.

Gone are the days of under/over-watering

Posted by WillWill on Aug 24th 2020

This planter is fantastic for those who have trouble maintaining the ideal level of moisture. We were having issues with under/over-watering, now we know exactly how much to water without fear of killing our plants. The instructions were clear and videos online were helpful in deciding best layout for our particular plant type and number. I absolutely love everything about this Earthbox system and plan to purchased their self-watering system to save some time when life gets hectic. I also purchased the Earthbox junior for smaller herbs (here shown with mint and garlic chives growing) The pictures show our basil immediately after relocation into Earthbox and again a few weeks later. It just exploded with growth, we are flush with fresh basil now! 10/10 would recommend and purchase again!!

I see no way to request new castors through Amazon without shipping back whole order. Please advise how I can request castors.

One Thing To Be Aware Of...

Posted by Izzy Luggs on Jul 19th 2020

If you live in a part of the country where summers are hot (I live in central New Mexico) you'll be a slave to these things for the entire growing season. It regularly busts 100F here and it's not uncommon to bust 105F. The water reservoirs in the bottom of the EarthBoxes are not very deep. I have to refill mine at sunrise, noon, around 4:00 and shortly after sundown. If I don't the plants begin to wilt because they've sucked the reservoir dry. So that's what I do all summer. Fill EarthBox water reservoirs four times per day. It gets a bit tedious after the first couple of months. Next summer I'm going to try installing out some sort of automatic watering system for them. But other than that, these grow boxes perform exactly as advertised. I have all the vegetables I can possibly eat.

    Perfect for black-thumb gardeners!

A fail-safe planter. My tomatoes are doing great. The instructions, and the included fertilizer are wonderful. It takes all the guess work out of planting. I also love the self watering feature!
